Access for disabled people

Access and use of the library are guaranteed to all people with disabilities, through the elimination of obstacles and the provision of reserved car parks inside the institute.

In order to make easier the accessibility to the information and services two multimedia workstations, equipped with video magnifiers and scanners with voice synthesis, have been reserved for blind and visually impaired users.

The Library also is a partner in the “Progetto libro parlato” .

In 2003 an internal space destined for the Typhlodidactic Counseling Center was inaugurated. Its institution – sponsored by the Italian Library the Blind People "Regina Margherita" – it’s the further confirmation of the constant attention (since the eighties) of the NCLR upon typhlological issues.
