Social and Juridical Sciences

This room holds works on social and juridical sciences. This science encompasses subjects such as sociology, statistics, demography, behavioural sciences, ethnology and anthropology.

In particular:

The economic area includes a big choice of economists' texts, from sixteenth century up to the last Nobel Prizes.

In the area of law, databanks of the current legislation and of the Italian jurisprudence are at disposal of the users.

The political area contains several volumes of "Documenti Diplomatici Italiani", a big collection of documents concerning the Italian history from 1861 to 1945.

The area of behavioural sciences includes texts about methods and ways of education and pedagogy, and the use of new computer science technologies in the field of school, research, professions and knowledge such as e-learning and lifelong learning.

The area of ethnology and anthropology boasts a particular section dedicated to the woman figure. It includes works such as "L'Enciclopedia del Femminismo, The History of Women in America", the juridical collection of the National Commission for equality and equal opportunities between man and woman at the Italian Government, "Donne e Diritto : due secoli di legislazione 1796-1986, Codice Donna: norme interne e atti internazionali" and several bibliographical repertories of the same topic.
